Ajay Devgn, born Vishal Veeru Devgan on April 2, 1969, is a renowned Indian actor, director, and producer primarily active in Hindi cinema. Recognized as one of the most accomplished actors in Bollywood, Devgn has acted in over 100 films and earned numerous awards, including four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. In 2016, the Indian government honored him with the Padma Shri, the country's fourth-highest civilian award.

Devgn made his acting debut in the action-romance Phool Aur Kaante (1991), a blockbuster that catapulted him to stardom. He later starred in popular action movies such as Jigar (1992), Suhaag (1994), and Vijaypath (1994), as well as romantic hits like Ishq (1997) and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999). His critically acclaimed performance in Zakhm (1998) earned him a National Film Award for Best Actor.

Throughout the 2000s, Devgn delivered critically praised performances in movies like Company (2002), The Legend of Bhagat Singh (2002), and Omkara (2006). His portrayal of Bhagat Singh won him his second National Film Award for Best Actor. In the 2010s, he returned with major commercial hits such as Singham (2011) and Golmaal Again (2017). More recently, his films Tanhaji (2020), Drishyam 2 (2022), and Singham Again (2024) have set new box office records, with Tanhaji earning him another National Film Award.

In addition to acting, Devgn runs his own production company, Ajay Devgn FFilms, established in 1999. He is married to actress Kajol, and they have two children together.
